She has helped teachers in schools across the nation and abroad with issues of second-language learning, dual language instruction, special education, culture learning, and bi-literacy. She has also worked with administrators in program development, particularly in dual language schools. She has taught English as a foreign language, conducted research, and consulted with refugee programs and state boards of education, in addition to Pre K–12 schools.
